How to Apply for a Thailand Golden Visa (Thailand Elite Visa)

The Thailand Elite Visa is administered by Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd., a government-owned enterprise under the supervision of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). The program is designed to attract high-net-worth individuals, global investors, retirees, and international professionals who wish to enjoy long-term residence in Thailand.
Members of the program receive long-term visa privileges along with exclusive benefits such as fast-track immigration services, airport assistance, and lifestyle privileges.

The Scope

Membership package selection
The first step is selecting the appropriate Thailand Elite Visa membership package.

The visa will be issued according to the selected membership package, allowing the holder to stay in Thailand for an extended period without frequent visa renewals.

Passport valid for at least six months
The applicant’s passport should remain valid for at least six months at the time of application.
Completed Thailand Elite membership application form

Passport photographs
Recent passport-sized photographs are typically required for the application and related immigration processing.
Copy of passport identification pages
Copies of the passport bio-data and identification pages are generally required as part of the membership review process.
Personal contact information and residential address
Applicants should provide their current contact details and residential address for background verification and program administration.
Basic background information for immigration screening
Applicants must provide basic background details required for security and immigration screening by the relevant Thai authorities.
Additional documentation may be requested during the background verification process.

Visa holders should maintain a valid passport and all required travel documentation throughout their stay in Thailand.
Obtaining re-entry permits when traveling outside Thailand
Holders may need to obtain the appropriate re-entry documentation when leaving Thailand, depending on immigration procedures applicable to their status.
Complying with Thai immigration laws and regulations
Thailand Elite Visa holders must continue to comply with Thai immigration laws, reporting obligations, and administrative requirements.
Thailand Elite Visa holders may enjoy extended residency privileges but must still follow immigration reporting requirements.
