Plan around your accounting period

Audit readiness comes before the deadline

Allow time for preparation, auditor questions, shareholder approval and the relevant submissions.

Start with ready records

The indicative estimate is approximately three weeks when routine bookkeeping and tax filings are complete. Document gaps or audit queries can extend this.

Schedule shareholder approval

For a Thai private limited company, audited financial statements are generally presented for shareholder approval within four months after year-end.

Keep filing dates distinct

DBD filing is generally within one month of shareholder approval. The annual corporate income tax return is generally due within 150 days after year-end.

Your entity type, accounting period, meeting date and current extensions can affect the calendar. Confirm the actual dates before work starts. References: DBD filing guidance · Revenue Department corporate income tax guidance.

Prepare before the audit starts

Bring the records that support the numbers

The final checklist depends on your business and the auditor’s requirements.

Accounting & supporting records

  • Trial balance, general ledger and completed bank reconciliations.
  • Sales and purchase invoices, receipts and supporting contracts.
  • Inventory and fixed-asset schedules, where applicable.
  • Payroll, tax returns and payment receipts relevant to the year.

Company & year-end information

  • Company registration details and the accounting period.
  • Prior-year financial statements and audit report, if available.
  • Details of shareholders, related parties and significant transactions.
  • Authorised contacts, approval arrangements and relevant meeting records.

Direct answers

Year-End Audit & Account Closing Thailand: frequently asked questions

Practical answers before choosing your service scope.

What does the published audit and closing fee include?

The year-end service includes year-end audit, preparation of company financial statements and submission of the finalised financial statements to the Ministry of Commerce and Revenue Department through the applicable process. English and Thai versions of the audit report and financial statements are included. The quotation confirms the auditor appointment, exact deliverables and any separate corporate income tax computation or return preparation.

How is the fee determined?

The published fee depends on annual turnover, with a separate dormant-company fee of THB 39,500. Fees range from THB 45,500 for annual revenue up to THB 5 million to THB 400,000 for revenue over THB 250 million and up to THB 400 million. Confirm the applicable band, records readiness, VAT and additional work in the quotation.

How long does the process take?

The indicative service estimate is approximately three weeks when bookkeeping and routine tax filings are complete and the records are ready. Actual timing depends on document completeness, audit findings, responses and auditor availability. Agree a schedule early; the estimate is not a guaranteed completion time.

Is there one deadline for all year-end filings?

No. For a Thai private limited company, audited financial statements are generally presented for shareholder approval within four months after year-end and filed with DBD within one month of approval. The annual corporate income tax return is generally due within 150 days after the accounting period ends. Confirm entity-specific requirements, current extensions and the actual calendar with the team.

What if our bookkeeping is incomplete?

Tell us before the audit starts. Missing records, unreconciled balances or outstanding filings can require separate clean-up work and affect the timetable and fee. We first review what is ready and agree any additional accounting work.

Who issues the audit opinion?

The appointed qualified auditor performs the audit and issues the audit opinion. Accounting preparation and coordination support do not replace the auditor’s independent professional assessment.
