In layman terms, its being employed without the need to actually go to work nor getting paid by the employer, however, 'being employed' means you can get a Non-B Visa and a Work Permit (renewable).

Who is this for?

For people who want to stay in Thailand for a long term and is below 50 year old (if you're over 50, check out Retirement Visa) but do not wish to fully be engaged with managing your own business or employer.

For overseas applicant, you will be able to stay for additional 3 more months as you'll enter Thailand with a 3 months Non-B Visa initially.

All Work Permit holder must pay Personal Income Tax based on the minimum wage set forth by the Thai Gov't according to your nationality.

Certain nationalities may be able to convert their current Visa to Non-B Visa without leaving Thailand for an additional fee of THB30,000. For normal cases, applicant must proceess the Non-B Visa outside of Thailand.

Sponsored Work Permit & Non B Visa is for individuals who want to stay in Thailand for a long period of time however do not wish to work for a Company nor wish to operate your own Company here in Thailand.
