It is usually a fairly quick process (allow additional 30 minutes) to obtain your Multiple Re-entry Permit at the airport.
Important Notes.
- Re-entry permit counter is open 24/7 at Suvarnabhumi Airport
- They only accept CASH (Thai Baht)
- You do no need to prepare any forms or photos beforehand.
HOW and WHERE?
The Re-entry Permit counter is located after Security Check BEFORE Passport Control.
- After security check, you will head down the escalator towards the Passport Control. Once you are down, turn RIGHT and keep to your utmost left and walk towards the end. You will see a counter there and that’s the Re-entry Permit counter.
- This counter will charge you a fee of 200 Baht to assist you with document preparation and have your photo taken. You will also pay your Re-entry permit fee here at the same time. For single Re-entry, it is THB1,000 and for multi Re-entry Permit, it is THB3,800
- After checking your passport, taking your photo and filling up the forms for you, they will ask for your payment and then will pass you the full set of document in a plastic folder. You will then need to take this plastic folder, walk down to the next counter (on your right) and then pass it to one of the immigration officer there.
- They will process it and stamp your passport with the Re-entry Permit and hand you back your passport.
- You will then proceed to the Passport Control, Queue as usual and exit the country.
IMPORTANT – If you hold a NON-B, NON-O or any Non Immigrant Visa, you MUST get a RE-ENTRY PERMIT if you intend to come back to Thailand on the same Visa. If you exit the country WITHOUT A RE-ENTRY PERMIT, your VISA will be voided and you cannot use it again.
