However, there are a few options available for foreigners who want to own property in Thailand:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Leasehold<\/strong>: You can lease land for a period of up to 30 years, with the option to renew the lease for additional periods.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Condominium ownership<\/strong>: Foreigners are allowed to own condominium units in Thailand, provided that at least 51% of the units in the building are owned by Thai nationals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Setting up a Thai company<\/strong>: You can set up a Thai company and have the company own the land on your behalf. However, you will need to have at least 51% Thai ownership in the company.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nominee arrangements<\/strong>: You can also enter into a nominee arrangement, where you hold the land through a Thai national who acts as a nominee on your behalf. This option is not legally recognized and is generally not recommended.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>It is important to note that these options may not be suitable for everyone and each has its own set of risks and considerations.
